Do you love dogs? Do you love to volunteer and help in the care of dogs? Would you be willing to share your home with a loving dog in need? If yes, you may be just right for the Kankakee County Humane Foundation’s new Adoption Ambassador Program.

What is the Adoption ambassador program?

Through the supervision of the KCHF, the program connects willing and qualified dog lovers with dogs in need of foster care. Through the development of a group of dedicated, trained and qualified foster parents we are expanding our ability to rescue and save lives in Kankakee and surrounding counties.

Kennel Club

The Kennel Club is an annual giving club that helps support KCHF’s efforts of rescuing, vetting and placing homeless animals into loving forever homes. By joining the Kennel Club as a supporter, you are showing your concern for the welfare of homeless animals that need our help.

KCHF Shelter Needs

vicOur on-going needs are just that, on-going. If you find any of these items at a good price and you wonder if it's currently needed at the shelter, you can assume that it probably is.

Our Location

The Kankakee County Humane Foundation is a non-profit, no-kill Shelter that promotes the prevention of animal cruelty through rescue, spay/neuter, veterinary care, and the responsible adoption of homeless animals in Kankakee County.
