Volunteer Opportunities

Every Sunday, from 1 pm to 4 pm, volunteers are invited out to the Shelter for total immersion in giving our animals all the love and attention they can absorb. You can stay an hour or stay all three. The animals are happy for whatever time you can give them.

Some Sundays there are only five volunteers, other Sundays there have been as many as 17 to 20 people show up. It does not matter, as it is all about being with the animals and giving them attention.  You don’t need an appointment, just come on out and join some wonderful giving humans, loving on our awesome dogs and cats.

If you cant make it on Sundays, we can still use your help throughout the week during our open hours.

Are you allergic to dogs and cats and still want to volunteer? Do you have a skill or service that you would like to donate? There are many volunteer opportunities with us, and not all of them require contact with the animals or a lot of time. Here are other opportunities you may be interested in:

  • Fundraising Events & Programs -- Have a knack for selling products or raffle/event tickets? Help make our events a success by either helping to sell tickets for our planned events or distributing flyers for the events and campaigns.
  • Mailings -- Help prepare our mailings by volunteering to come in and stuff envelopes.
